Data-Smart City Podcast Interview with Amanda Ford (MOI)

In a recent episode of the Data-Smart City Pod, hosted by Professor Stephen Goldsmith, our own Amanda Ford, Ph.D., Data Science Lead for the Mayor’s Office of Innovation, discussed our Office’s work to integrate disparate data sets from across the City’s 12 street response teams (spanning four department specific databases) into a single comprehensive, client level backend database. The integrated dataset is designed to level-up the City’s homelessness response through improved individual care, system-level tracking, and data analysis & modeling.

Professor Goldsmith and Dr. Ford explore how the Mayor’s Office of Innovation is leveraging integrated data systems to break down data silos, foster trust and collaboration across departments, and develop data tools and insights to help unhoused people into housing and treatment.
